the day that i turned 18 was the day you hurt your leg
to celebrate adulthood i singed some papers at the vet
you were walking with a limp for a while after that
but we loved you
and you stuck it through
now i'm in my 20s and we had to say goodbye
amidst this dreadful sadness we try to celebrate your life
remembering the belly rubs and days that you made bright
lying on the floor
i just wish there were more
every day i've seen you is a day i'd live again
for every effort that i made i would make another 10
the air don't feel as warm and i've been feeling more alone
because you were home
you were home
you lived with such a sweetness that no one could forget
with a wagging tail you'd bring a gift for everyone you met
you filled my life with so much more that i could ask for from a pet
i'll always love you
millie, thank you

I can't wait for the day to end, to hurry home and see my best friends, with their tails wagging. They're patiently wait right inside, I can see all they want in their eyes, to be by my side.
Soft paws and a cold nose, always welcome me home. Welcome Home.
And I've always got hair on my shoulders, but it's a constant reminder, of the love I've got, waiting at home.
He brings a bushy tail of excitement, she jumps up to kiss and hug me, all before I walk through the door.
Welcome Home.
